Innovative Concepts and Solutions for Public Transport and Interiors

Design and mobility are closely interlinked. Creating accessible mobility for all is a fundamental challenge of our time. New concepts are sought-for, that ensure to meet highly different needs and requirements.

The IDZ (International Design Center Berlin) and the fair InnoTrans 2014 host a one-day design forum focusing on the connections between design and mobility in public transport. The topic of the forum reflects current developments and future questions in several presentations and discussions. Free entry for trade visitors and IDZ guests.

Along with our member Königliche Porzellan-Manufaktur Berlin (KPM), IDZ-members and interested guests are invited to attend the guided exhibition »Who is Mari?« on the 10th of october 2014. Afterwards, they will gain an insight into the porcelain manufacture. The exhibition will illustrate the holistic and radical workings of Enzo Maris. Under his influence, the long-standing berlin manufacture turned into a think tank in the nineties and had the KMP-atelier as its creative epicenter. At the manufacture, the participants will have the chance to get to know the manufacturer's work as well as try the craftsmanship themselves.

The travelling exhibition of Federal Ecodesign Award presents the winners and nominees 2013 at Designers' Open in Leipzig.
