German Ecodesign Award 2024 | Award Ceremony
Out of more than 400 submissions, 22 projects are in the running for a trophy!
It will be exciting on December 2! That day, the public announcement of the winners of the German Ecodesign Award will take place in the atriums of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety (BMUV). Federal Environment Minister Steffi Lemke and the President of the German Environment Agency, Prof. Dr. Dirk Messner, will ceremoniously honor the winners with personalized certificates and trophies.

Users worldwide are invited to vote for their favorites among all nominated projects. Voting for the “UX Design Award | Public Choice” is open until 25 February on the UX Design Awards website.
The winner of the Public Choice Award will be announced on 5 March.

From 20 January to 14 April, companies, designers and students throughout Europe can apply for the German Ecodesign Award 2025.
We are looking for imaginative ideas and projects that are outstandingly designed and forward-looking. In addition to market-ready products and services, this also includes conceptual and student work. Design innovations are just as much in demand as technical and social innovations. There are no limits to creativity!

German Ecodesign Award: Exhibition at Esche Museum
Chemnitz is the European Capital of Culture 2025, together with numerous cities and municipalities in the surrounding area. Among them is Limbach-Oberfrohna, the location of the Esche Museum and the first stop of the touring exhibition ‘Thinking ahead’ 2025.
The exhibition can be seen at the Esche Museum from 20 February to 30 March. At the opening on 20 February at 6 pm, there will be keynote speeches by the exhibiting projects, providing an in-depth insight into the exhibition.
