Much more than "the fellow with the teapot": Tassilo von Grolman has always transcended boundaries in his career of over forty years in industrial, graphic, package and corporate design. In our interview he looks back and forward – over a cup of tea, of course – from his apprenticeship years at AEG, through his stint in seafaring, which inspired early on his motto "Simple is the hardest", the formative years of study at the Werkkunstschule Kassel and many highlights from his diverse oeuvre (Who can claim to have designed the most stolen ashtray?), to the current product series dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus. Of course, the stories around the famous teapots are not neglected either!
