The next UX Design Awards are coming up! From March 9 to May 31, companies, agencies, professionals and up-and-coming designers worldwide are invited to submit their best work for the global competition for outstanding experience design.

In this brief introduction to the fascinating world of Arabic script, Prof. Rayan Abdullah will cover the history of Arabic script, the Arabic alphabet and its grid, the major Arabic fonts, writing tools, and techniques used in calligraphy, architecture, and especially in the context of book design. He will also discuss ink production and Islamic ornaments. He will also present examples of Islamic book art.

As always, there will be an opportunity for exchange afterwards.
